Chair  Mick van Trotsenburg (NL/A) ,                                                                                                                                                                                           Speakers 1) Annette Güldenring (D) “Diagnosing” genderdysphoria as a prerequisite for medical treatment ? 2) Asa Radix (USA) Towards consenting in dissenting situations 3)  Maddie Deutsch (USA) Tailoring treatment in patients with severe morbidity 4) Mick van Trotsenburg (NL/A) Weighing adjustment of treatment in elderly patients                                                                                                                                                                                                               This session is about the patient-doctor-relation very close on the edge. This session focusses on the conditions and advantages of consenting without compromising both professional standards and patient’s rights, and meeting on an equal footing rather than accentuating the inherent hierarchy of this relation. The pondering process will be illustrated at various critical moments: at the very beginning of the transitional trajectory, within the process, in situations with serious medical threats, and at older age.
